English language is very important as far as communication is concerned.To achieve good rapport,we need to watch and work on the subject;SYNTAX. Syntax is the way we put words and phrases together to form sentence in language.
Emphasis is to be laid on two major words used, but often misused. These two words usually cause confusion as the two are very synonymous when used. These are 'few' and 'a few'
'few' and 'a few' both means not many or small in number. For example
(i)few people understand the difference
(ii)a few people understand the difference.
This two truly look synonymous but with a little difference.This is in the fact that; 'a few is positive, while 'few' is negative.'few is therefore followed by non-assertive forms.'Few' in use means hardly any could be found. 'a few on the other hand means some or certain amount could be found.It also means a small number could be found
